A Little About Me

Hey! I’m Arianna/Ari, an abstract artist in Hampshire!

I discovered painting like many in my childhood and now paint full time. My main goal with my art is to bring joy, spark inspiration and bring peace to a home!

I paint floral meadows, bouquets and my most popular scene - florals against a sea backdrop, usually inspired by my childhood travels to Cornwall.

Like a magpie, I am obsessed with using shimmering inks in my work to catch the light, after painting for years now, my paint collection is a treasure trove of oil sticks, heavy body acrylics, inks and even gold dust glitter. From years of experimenting, each painting has so much depth and consideration put into them. I will often work by creating collection of 10-20 artworks at a time, as personally it helps me work as someone who loves a deadline. I also feel such fulfilment from seeing a final body of work come to life. Most known for my wedding bouquets, these are always my most requested bespoke. It’s a wonderful process to create something so sentimental and be an apart of the couples story! A lot of brides who get in touch do so because there flowers were either destroyed / never got the chance to keep them so they decide to commission a painting allowing this beautiful moment in there life to last forever.

I believe strongly in finding the beauty in imperfections and embracing the “messy”, a term used to diminish many young creatives.

Showing love to chaotic creative energies and empowering the colourful and weird in our lives. I was often told in art class that I rushed and needed to refine the process. Feeling disheartened and like the only art in the world was boring fine art, that you saw in museums - don’t get me wrong incredible but it didn’t light my heart on fire, I sort of gave up trying in class. Until one trip to St Ives, when I became so immersed in all the galleries. I fell in love with how abstract all the artwork was and that it didn’t have to conform to one particular style. This is where I found my style of painting.

I studied Fashion at Arts Bournemouth University, with the big hopes of getting a design job, only to find I hated the interview process.

Alongside searching for a job, I was slowly selling my art. The feeling of not wanting to be told what to do, who to be or where to work that catapulted me into wanting to become a fulltime artist. I now sell my work worldwide through my website and found the joy in posting online and meeting more like-minded creatives.

Like most entrepreneurs, competing against yourself is more fun than competing against others. My business allows me the opportunity of working collaboratively with other artists and brands, lifting and supporting independent and local businesses, something that I am passionate about.

And when I’m not making a whole lot of art mess,

I’m off walking my old English sheep dog-Bear and travelling as much as my pocket lets me. I am such a foodie and will always designate myself as head chef at family events, even my birthday because I enjoy it that much and am a little bit of a food snob, whoops don’t judge.

Not only do I paint for a living but if I get the urge for some diy, you know I will just paint the kitchen cupboards at 10pm at night, because who doesn’t love a pink kitchen! If you follow along my weekly newsletters you can get a glimpse into this side of my life, the side that develops and inspires my collections, ill often moodboard when I feel I need some beauty my way and something to inspire me.
