Initially created as a soft atmospheric sky, this work developed intuitively changed into a dynamic and immersive sunset composition. Layered with blues and delicate peach tones, the surface gradually transforms into a swirling expanse of colour, capturing the shifting energy of dusk as it settles over the horizon.
Drawing on memories of sunlit coastal days, the painting evokes the depth and rhythm of a rich blue sea, its gentle waves suggested through fluid movement and tonal variation. In the foreground, vivid lilac blooms appear to sway in a cooling breeze. Executed in heavy body acrylic, the work is distinguished by its richly textured surface, where painterly marks and layered pigment create both visual depth and a tactile, expressive finish.
